Becoming a fitness instructor, also known as a gym instructor, is a starting point for your career in fitness. Our gym instructor courses aim to provide you with the skills and knowledge to plan and prepare gym-based exercise programmes for apparently healthy adults, to conduct consultations, and to communicate with and motivate clients effectively.

The E-Learning side of the course is delivered by BRITISH WEIGHT LIFTING.

You will be assessed and guided by Kerrie at F.I.T Training.

Entry Requirements

The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential, therefore a degree of physical fitness is necessary.

Delivery & Enrolment:

You will require to find a work placement at a gym of your own choice or at our main centre at least one hour a week. You must complete a minimum of 12 hours during your study. Times & days to be agreed with you & the gym manager. You will meet your assessor on a regular but flexible basis which will be agreed on enrollment .

PERSONAL TRAINING

Level 3

Certificate Personal Training £1795

(Including Level 2 Gym Instructing).​​

Entry Requirements

You will complete L2 Gym first before progressing onto L3. Please read L2 information.

This personal trainer qualification comprises six mandatory units.

Level 2 Award
Mental Health Awareness: £199

The purpose of this qualification is to provide learners with an understanding and awareness of mental health, common mental health disorders and issues, help reduce stigma and discrimination and encourage people to talk about mental health. Furthermore, the qualification should provide learners with the ability to apply their knowledge of mental health through recognizing and responding to the signs of mental ill health in themselves and others and be able to offer mental health first aid to people experiencing mental ill health.

**If you already have a level two gym & or Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification please send over your unit certification as you may be eligible to pass some of the units.

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification.

Some experience of Pilates classes is highly recommended.

​

You will require attend at least 10 of our Pilates classes at our main centre on Monday evening during your study. You may attend classes elsewhere but must get signed off by the instructor. You will meet your assessor on a regular basis which will be on Monday evening's.

PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Level One Award Coaching
Olympic Weightlifting (Online) £375

This is an entry level course for aspiring coaches in weightlifting. It is aimed at anyone aged 16 or over, who is new to coaching but has some knowledge of the sport and would like to learn how to apply that in a coaching environment.

The processes and principles of coaching weightlifting to adults and children, the basic rules of weightlifting, safety in the sport, roles and responsibilities of a coach and planning a session.

You’ll also discover critical coaching skills that can optimise coaching performance, the main physical qualities that athletes need to develop in weightlifting, identify the key positions for the Snatch, Clean and Jerk, learn assistance lifts for weightlifting and learn the BWL Teaching Method to understand why we perform each one of the BWL teaching exercises.

​

Entry Requirements: 

You must be at least 16 years of age when booking, be able to communicate effectively in English  and have some general experience of the lifts and weightlifting.

​

OLYMPIC LIFTING

Level 2 Award Instructing

Indoor Cycling £199

Two Units:

1. Planning and instructing studio cycling sessions.
